Privacy Policy

Revri is built on a simple principle: your data stays on your device. We believe privacy is a form of self-care.

This policy is effective as of February 26, 2026
Last updated: February 26, 2026

Our Local-First Approach

Unlike most apps, Revri does not collect, transmit, or store your personal data on our servers. All your information—including assessment results, journal entries, mood check-ins, and personalized plans—is stored locally on your device using secure browser storage technologies (localStorage, IndexedDB, and SQLite for mobile).

We cannot see, access, or recover your data because we never receive it.

What Data Is Stored on Your Device

Revri stores the following information locally on your device:

  • STAR assessment responses and results
  • Daily check-in entries (social battery, mood, alone time)
  • Journal entries and reflections
  • Boundary practice logs
  • Your personalized recharge plan
  • App preferences and settings

None of this data is transmitted to any server, cloud service, or third party.

Information We May Receive

While we do not collect your personal content, we may receive limited technical information in the following circumstances:

  • Website analytics: Our website may use minimal, privacy-respecting analytics to understand general usage patterns (such as page views). This does not include any of your personal content or assessment data.
  • App store data: If you download Revri from the App Store or Google Play, those platforms may share anonymized, aggregated statistics with us (such as download counts by region).
  • Direct contact: If you email us for support, we will receive the information you choose to share in that correspondence.

Cookies and Local Storage

Our website uses essential cookies and local storage to provide core functionality. We do not use tracking cookies or advertising networks. For more details, see our Cookie Policy.

Mental Health Information

Revri handles sensitive mental health and personality data. We take this responsibility seriously:

  • Journal entries, mood data, and assessment results never leave your device
  • No analytics, tracking pixels, or telemetry access your content
  • No advertising networks have access to your information
  • Your introversion profile is not shared with anyone, ever

No Account Required

Revri does not require you to create an account, provide an email address, or sign in with any service. You can use the full app without providing any personal information to us.

Children's Privacy

Revri is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since all data is stored locally on your device and never transmitted to us, we have no way to identify or collect information from users of any age.

Data Deletion

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control over it:

  • Mobile app: Use the "Delete All My Data" option in Settings, or uninstall the app
  • Web app: Clear your browser's site data for revri.app, or use the in-app data deletion option

No data remains on any server because no data was ever sent to one.

Data Export

You can export your data at any time using the "Export My Data" feature in the app. This creates a local file on your device that you can save wherever you choose. The export is processed entirely on your device—no data is sent to our servers.

Your Rights

Because Revri stores data only on your device, you inherently have full control over your information:

  • Access: All your data is already in your possession on your device
  • Portability: Use the export feature to get a copy of your data
  • Deletion: Delete your data at any time through the app or by clearing browser/app data
  • Correction: Edit your entries directly in the app

For users in the European Union (GDPR), California (CCPA), or other jurisdictions with privacy regulations: because we do not collect or store your personal data on our servers, there is no data for us to provide, delete, or correct on your behalf. Your data rights are exercised directly through your device.

Third-Party Services

Our website may contain links to third-party sites. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their practices. We encourage you to read their privacy policies before providing any information.

Future Changes

We may introduce optional cloud sync in the future to allow you to back up your data across devices. If we do:

  • It will be opt-in only—never automatic
  • We will update this privacy policy before launching the feature
  • You will be clearly notified within the app
  • Your data will remain available locally even if you choose not to sync

Open Source

Revri is open source software released under the MIT License. You can review the source code to verify our privacy practices for yourself.
